Beginning of the year paperwork. Please see the letter below for important information. Thank you.
Dear RES families,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! As a whole school district, there are changes being made to the way parents and guardians do the beginning of the school year paperwork process. The district wide goal is for everything to eventually be done online. This year the district has started the new system with a form for RES to update your child’s general and medical information. With this being said, there is still more information we would like to get from you at RES that is not a part of the online system yet. In the future, we will be able to add other forms more specific to our school within the Powerschool system. We know that receiving online forms, emails and paper forms is not the most convenient way to receive all the information. In an attempt to help make it easier during this transition, we have made a list of items that we will be looking for you to fill out and how you will receive them.
Please take a few minutes to go through the list to make sure you are all set.
Household Income Form: (email with link, paper form or QR code) An email was sent with a link to fill out the Household Income Form, we also have a QR code at RES and paper forms. You can choose any of the options. (Filling this out helps us to continue receiving grant funding.)
Update and Medical Form: (Electronic through PowerSchool Account) An email was sent to set up an account for PowerSchool. Once set up, you will be able to fill out the general update form and medical form. These forms are the same district wide.
Pick Up Authorization Form: (paper form)This paper form will be handed out at Open House and on the first day of school. This form will let us know who can pick up your child other than the emergency contacts.
Default Dismissal: (paper form)Teachers will be asking for your student’s default dismissal. (This will be how we send a student home if we did not hear from you.)
Extra Medical Form: (paper form)The nurse will be sending a paper form on the first day of school. This will allow her to get extra information that is not on the general medical form used by the district.
We would like to thank you for your patience as we navigate through the new system and work towards going paperless.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Trish Muir @ 802-848-7453 or trish.muir@fnesu.org.
Thank you,
Trish Muir

This year RES is working towards most paperwork being accessible online. Below you will find a link for one of the first online forms. This information helps RES become eligible for programing.
Here is the online link:
https://education.vermont.gov/householdincome/2025-2026-household-income-form
Also, please be on the lookout for an email that will allow you to create a PowerSchool account. Once created, this is where you will be completing the student update form. This is very important so we have accurate and updated student information. If you require a paper form for the household income or the PowerSchool update, please reach out to Trish Muir, Administrative Assistant @ (802) 848-7453. Thank you.

Clarification for LEAPS Summer Camp Families:
There is NO change to the hours or weeks planned for LEAPS summer camps. We will continue to transport middle schoolers and EES youth from sending schools to summer camp and back. Families from Enosburg attending the EFMHS camp have been notified directly about their transportation changes.
In observance of Independence Day, LEAPS Camp is closed tomorrow, July 4th. This was a previously scheduled day off.

As the 2024/2025 school year ends, we wanted to showcase the incredible opportunities and celebrations our students and staff in the Enosburgh-Richford UUSD had during this year (Cold Hollow Career Center, Enosburg Elementary, Enosburg Falls Middle and High, Richford Elementary, and Richford Junior-Senior High)!

Building a Respectful School Community: Our New Code of Conduct
What's Happening?
Our school district is creating new rules and expectations that will be the same at all schools. A team of teachers and principals wrote the first version, and now we want to hear from you before we make it final for the new school year.
What is a Code of Conduct?
Think of it as a handbook that explains how we should all treat each other at school. It covers students, teachers, staff, and families—everyone who is part of our school community.
Why Do We Need This?
When everyone knows what respectful behavior looks like, good things happen:
Students learn better
There are fewer problems and conflicts
Kids learn important life skills like kindness and problem-solving
Everyone feels safe and welcome at school
What Makes This Different?
Instead of just having a list of "don't do this," our Code of Conduct focuses on the positive things we want to see:
Being kind and understanding to others
Taking responsibility for our actions
Working together to solve problems
Our Goal
We want our schools to be places where every person—whether you're a kindergartner or a high school senior, a parent or a teacher—feels respected, valued, and supported.
How You Can Help
We need your input! Please read through the draft Code of Conduct and share your thoughts using the feedback form. Your voice matters in creating a school environment where everyone can thrive.
